Celebrating 10 years as 3ten
A long time ago, in a small Southwest Kansas town, a boy and his cousins sat building Legos with his cousins. Years later, this young man took a drafting class during his Freshman year of college and fell in love with drawing buildings. From there, the goal was to become an architect.
Fast forward 13 years, he became a licensed architect. He was busy running projects, designing great buildings, and meeting great co-workers, clients, consultants, and contractors. But all this time, he thought there should be a better way to run an architecture firm—something more geared toward the architect. When you empower the architect, you also empower the clients. Client-focused architects create client-focused designs, not repeat cookie-cutter buildings dictated by corporate standards, but projects shaped by the client’s dreams and desires.
Ten years of learning his craft as an architect, it was now 2013, and it was time to step out, and that’s when 3ten was created. 3ten’s first official project was a trampoline park, which was fitting, as fun was essential to the company he was designing.
3ten is coming up on its 10th anniversary and, along the way, has established a team that wholeheartedly believes in its mission to take our client’s dream and turn it into a brighter future. Let’s walk down memory lane to see how 3ten got to where it is today.
